No. The farm is tucked away in a quiet rural area so you won't find any restaurants or convenience stores in the immediate vicinity. β οΈ LekkerSpots Pro Tip: I highly recommend buying everything you need upfront. If you are coming from the south, stop in Ceres (about 45β60 minutes away). If you are coming from the other side of the mountain pass, Citrusdal is your last stop for supplies.
π Can I buy local dried fruit at Kunje?
Yes. During normal business hours, you can purchase a large variety of locally produced dried fruit at the Kunje Guest Farm reception. Itβs a great way to support the local farming community and take a "taste" of the Cederberg home with you.
π· Are there any historical sites on the trails?
Yes, Kunje Guest Farm features authentic San (Bushman) paintings. You can find these on the Sewejaartjie Hiking Trail and the Toy Story Route. There are also Bushman graves located along the Klipspringer Walk. To protect these heritage sites, please do not touch the paintings.

There are 8 hiking and walking trails to explore, ranging from quick strolls to challenging mountain treks: 1. Geelberg Route: A 4β5 hour mountain trekking route for experienced hikers. 2. Sewejaartjie Hiking Trail: A short 15β30 minute walk to see large boulders and San paintings. 3. River Walk: A family-friendly 15β30 minute walk leading to a refreshing pool in the river. 4. Toy Story Route: A unique route featuring rock formations and caves. 5. Kunje Pool: A quick 5β10 minute walk to a cold, refreshing swimming pool. 6. Kunje Orchard Walk: An easy 1β2 hour flat track through citrus, peach, and pear orchards. 7. Klipspringer Walk or Drive: A 2β3 hour circular route suitable for hikers, joggers, or standard vehicles. 8. Rotsvas Orchard Walk: A 1β2 hour walk on an even road through fruit orchards at the foot of "Grootberg". Safety Tip: Please always wear proper hiking or trail running shoes and know your physical limits. Always carry at least 1 liter of bottled water and use sun lotion.

Yes, they sell braai wood on the farm. You donβt need to worry about packing your own; you can stock up right when you arrive to enjoy a fire under the stars.

No, there are no petrol stations in the immediate area. The nearest fuel stops are located on the other side of the mountain pass in Citrusdal or back in Ceres (about 45β60 minutes away). β οΈ I highly recommend filling your tank before you head over the pass. Itβs always best to ensure you have plenty of fuel for both your stay and the return drive!
